Cocoa pistachio gave me gas and stomach cramps for hours, and I have no food allergies.I've tried most of the bars out there, and for now, Pro Bar is my fave. It's very filling, it's moist, not dry, and it encourages abundant chewing which helps satiate. It HAS NO CHOCOLATE COATING, which I really like, because so many other bars taste like dressed up candy bars, and I'm long past eating candy bars for lunch or a snack. They're not too sweet, and they have just enough savoriness to feel balanced, and feel like a meal, not dessert. Their balance of carbs, fat and protein is acceptable. No high glycemic blast, and no overly protein laden lump that barely feels like I ate anything resembing food. The calorie count is high (370 for most) BUT they really do satisfy as well as a light meal, which is something I never found with protein bars. There is great flavor with good texture and chew. There is a lot of peanut butter but I guess that's a must for this kind of thing. All in all, my main frustration is that there's not enough help differentiating between the different flavors. They have too many bars that seem to taste the same but have different names. There should be a chart etc. To help finding the bars with high protein or fewer calories etc,. I also don't like that you can only buy bulk pack in mixed flavors. There should be an option to buy bulk packs and choose your flavors.Having said all that, they taste absolutely great and satisfy your hunger. The superfood slam is definitely my favorite flavor as of yet, and buying them through Amazon, with the free super-saver shipping, and subscribing to get them sent every month automatically, brings them to less than $2.00 per bar, where as I can only find them for close to $3.50 each at the local Whole Foods.
